Activities at several areas of Falls Lake include camping, showers, a community building, boat ramp, fishing pier, swimming, picnic areas and shelters. Falls Lake is a North Carolina State Park and does not allow residential development.
Anglers have pulled out bass, bluegill, catfish and crappie, as well as artificial reefs and fish shelters and continuous stocking programs.
Hiking is another popular activity at Fall Lake, with a trail that travels the entire south shore of the lake. Falls Lake also offers persons with disabilities several opportunities, including accessible restrooms, a fishing pier at Beaverdam, accessible picnic shelters, swimming, campsites and staff guides.
